Choose two opinion pieces, representing two different (probably opposing) sides of your topic.
The purpose of this assignment is to compare the two essays and evaluate which essay has a stronger argument. You do not need to tell me your opinion/stand on the issue.
To complete this assignment, you will need to summarize the two essays, identify the claims, and assess the evidence. You will also think about purpose and audience and whether the writer uses rhetorical appeals other than the logos appeal. But most of all, you should be thinking about what makes a good argument and which essay is a better example of a good argument.
For this assignment, I expect you to use MLA in-text documentation and a Works Cited page in MLA style.
